Notice your body as you become calm, relaxed, and attuned to your surroundings so you feel more like yourself.

Give your worries to the fire – allow them to go up with the smoke and take yourself back to the time you felt the most alive and fired up.

Remember how alive your body felt and feel your fire as you remember the energy, passion, care, and love that resides in every cell within you.

Celebrate the fire that’s always inside you as you allow the flame inside you to ignite once again.

7 Things You Can Do To Gain Respect From Your Employees Immediately #EP50



Are you getting frustrated because you are not being listened to, or disrespected? Are you finding that the company is suffering because you can’t seem to get a grip on the actions of employees and can’t figure out why? This episode won’t only help you to regain respect but it will also help with your energy, confidence and get your passion back.

When you have respect for yourself and you receive it back from other people it gives you energy. You feel on fire!

When I’m working with the CEO’s and entrepreneurs, the frustrations a lot of the time are that they’re not being heard or listened to, and the things they ask for are not being done.

If that continues for long enough, your confidence as a leader starts to decrease, your thoughts become negative, and then you can make silly decisions,. There’s an increase in irritation and you can let people go because you feel frustrated.

How can you get back to yourself as quickly as possible and run your company from a place of respect?

Responsibility

This positive exercise helps you to take responsibility, regain energy and get back into control.

Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle. On the left side, write down everything you’re irritated by or frustrated with. Write whatever comes up for you – other people, employees, managers, new starters, and people you collaborate with.

On the right side, write down if you had to take 100% responsibility for the situation what would it be?

Ouch!

Your ego will hate this because you already feel you did things or you asked, but to regain authentic power you need to take responsibility.

Maybe one of your frustrations is that you’re not being listened to. How can you take responsibility for that? Could it be that you’re not connecting with that person and therefore they’re not listening to you? Were they onboarded properly? Have you been in a confident place so they don’t understand the consequences of the business?

Take ownership and responsibility instead of being the victim.

Completing this exercise gives you so much energy because you suddenly start to realize you can be in control.

Empathy

Increase the empathy you have towards the people around you.

It can be hard to understand what’s really happening in other people’s lives if you position yourself in a certain way so you can’t have deep conversations or you’re not approachable – a lot of people think they’re approachable, but they’re not.

You need to get a deeper level of connection with yourself.

This is why I’m working with entrepreneurs and CEOs on their emotional intelligence and self-awareness to regain connection because a lot of these CEOs, entrepreneurs are burnt out.

Maybe you’re burnt out and you’re struggling to connect with yourself. Because you’re so focused on what’s happening in your life, you struggle to connect and have empathy for what’s happening in other people’s lives.

Systems

When something breaks down, it’s because the system is broken. You lose respect because of a system that’s out of place.

You need to look at anything you’re frustrated by.

Is there a system you can put in place so a situation doesn’t occur again? I’m great at systems. I love looking at businesses and seeing how can I improve them. I’m always tweaking my programs.

If you’re at the point in your life and your business that you’re operating that you don’t care for it you won’t optimize it anymore.

When you were excited and focused you may have started to put systems in place, but over time you may have lost the desire to optimize those systems.

Present

The more I’ve removed distractions, the more I’ve been able to connect with myself and other people. That’s about being in a conversation with someone and caring; whether that’s with your clients or your employees.

You can’t be present with someone if you have other priorities, or if you’ve got clutter spinning around in your mind.

There’s a direct correlation between priority and being present – if you have things taking your mind off in another direction, you will be in a conversation with someone but you’re half in and you’re half out. People sense that.

Being present is going to help to gain respect because you’re within an energy bubble with somebody versus being outside of it.

In a relationship, people feel safe because they feel like there’s an energy field connecting them. People can feel unsafe in intimate or business relationships, and get scared when there isn’t a connectedness energy bubble around them.

Your ability to be present and create that safety with your employees is really important so they can talk to you without the fear of loss.

Transparency is very key. You will lose respect when people don’t feel they can approach you and speak about what’s happening.

You get false information relayed back to you because people talk to you with fear instead of honesty.

Then you feel frustrated because you don’t feel people are listening to you, but you’re not listening to the person speaking to you. You go off track and start to lose connection with your employees.

Evolve

You should commit to growing your company, but you should also commit to your evolution and your growth. People come to me because they realize personal things they have happening outside of operating the company need to be addressed.

Trauma from the past, or relationships that are out of alignment can cause someone to go into work and take their issues with them.

Your commitment to your evolution, self-awareness, and personal growth, to be a better man or woman is going to have a direct impact on a level you can’t understand right now.

Regaining self-respect, and the respect of the people around you enables you to hold stronger boundaries with a level of confidence you may have lost connection to. Don’t be embarrassed about this, understand it can happen to anybody.

Always commit to being the best you can be and be willing to challenge and have someone challenge you. 

A lot of the time you can feel you know it all, and not be willing to allow someone to help you. That’s very dangerous because you can evolve from that place.

Culture

High performers often think they have a good culture, but actually, there’s a lot of room for improvement.

I’m always open to improving my culture within my business. When you’ve got a lot going on you can let things slip – if you don’t have trust and transparency, people don’t think they can speak up about what’s real in the company.

That impacts morale and the level of people’s fulfilment, happiness, and energy. When you don’t have emotional intelligence in your company you have low energy levels within your business. 

When energy is low thoughts start to become low, and people unconsciously self-sabotage, but when people feel cared about, they can approach you and that creates a bond.

That bond creates respect.

Trust

This is about you regaining trust in yourself. I understand what can happen when a company grows and you start to take on more and more employees. One of the things you need to start to do is to regain trust in yourself so you can gain trust from other people.

People need to feel a level of safety so they know you’ve got their back.

When you go back to the workplace floor you start to talk to people. You get to know them and be vulnerable so you connect at a much deeper level. That creates a big shift.

Trusting your intuition, your gut, and sensing what really needs to happen comes from developing emotional intelligence. It comes from you working on yourself, so people can trust you again. 

You think people trust you and they have respect, but they don’t, because there’s so much that is left in the world of the unspoken.

I want to help you get your fire and excitement back. Get control and respect back by taking responsibility, having empathy, by tweaking or creating new systems. Become present, and take action on the things that you hear and feel.

It’s okay to have lost your confidence and connection. but when you start to use your intuition and start to have deeper levels of conversation, you will regain trust in the ecosystem of your business.

Today’s meditation is designed to release tension from the body quickly use a tense and release technique that can be extremely powerful and help you drop into a calm place more quickly.

The tense and release technique is an extremely powerful method to use for your body to feel calm and relaxed.

By taking deep breaths and clenching different parts of your body you learn to release any tension you’re carrying within you.

Exhaling the tension allows you to release the pressure within your body so you can relax and drop into your space on inner calm.

Become present, and notice how different your body feels as you immerse yourself in the vibrations of the Tibetan bowls as you let their sound carry you into relaxation.

3 Real Examples Of When I Got Stuck & Back To Success #EP48



Feeling stuck? In this show, I wanted to give you real-world examples of times in my life where situations happened but then I got back on track. This can happen to all of us, and I hope that one of these three stories really helps you.

Like everyone else, I’ve experienced times in my life when I’ve had no idea how I was going to make it out the other side; I didn’t see a way through or have clarity around the situation I was in. 

I was stuck in a deep funk, but by taking actionable steps I created momentum again in my life and for the business I’d created

If you’re in a funk I want you to be happy and fulfilled. I want to catapult you, to help you get back to where you need to be for your business, for your team, for your personal life, and your relationships.

Your Persistence Is Key

When I was a personal trainer in 2005 I came up with an idea for my book called The Lunchbox diet. It had already come out as an E-book and had been on the cover of magazines in the UK and the United States.

Penguin Books were very interested in The Lunchbox Diet and contacted me about having a book deal with them. As a recently qualified personal trainer, I was excited by the opportunity.

Penguin Books had created a vision for me – I was in conversations with the publisher, but after a few months of talks, things started to quieten down. They changed their minds and decided they didn’t want to publish my book.

l felt sad. It hit me hard because the prospect of my book being published and the excitement of seeing my book on bookstore shelves sparked something within me.

I had a choice to give up or to pursue. I knew I wasn’t going to give up because I was determined to get a book deal.

The frustration I had with the publisher drove me to pick up the phone – I’d already received media coverage for my ebook in publications; instead of phoning up publishers and asking for a book deal, I leveraged what I already had in terms of publicity to get conversations going.

At my first meeting with a publisher, I received an offer of £15,000.

With the confidence of getting that offer I knew I could get an offer from another company, and I got an offer of £25,000. Then I went to another and I got an offer of £50,000. At that point, I went to an agent and they took me on as their client.

The agent created a publishing battle between different companies and I received a £120,000 book deal with Harper Collins in the UK.

That process taught me the lesson of not giving up at the point when someone says no. I had to be courageous and ballsy.

My first book called The Lunchbox Diet was published in 2009.

Don’t give up, pick up the phone, and use the energy of frustration when someone says no. Persistence is key and it’s the thing that got me to where I am today. 

Turn Your Dream Into A Statement

When I was living in the UK I wasn’t feeling happy with my life. I decided I needed to get away, so I booked a hotel just an hour and a half from where I lived to have a change of scenery and think about what I wanted to do with my life.

When I arrived at the hotel I sat in the reception area with a notebook and pen, writing down what I wanted, and why I wasn’t happy. The dream I had of moving to the States kept coming to me, so I wrote down why I’d not already moved there.

I’d been telling myself I wouldn’t get a visa and I wouldn’t be able to drive on the other side of the road. The stories I’d created were blocking me from making power moves to progress forward and be happy.

What story is stopping you? What is your brick wall?

I looked at my dream and turned it into a decision.

I made the simple switch from dreaming to deciding to make it happen. I felt what it would be like to live in the States and wrote down the action steps I needed to take to make my dream a reality.

If you’ve always had a dream In your mind, you won’t make the first action unless it’s a decision. Think about what you need to write down, feel the power of it, and feel the level of certainty that you have when you write it as if it is happening. Then take the action to create your new reality.

Turn your dream into a statement. You have to feel it and commit to it.

Raise The Bar In Your Industry

I went through a huge spiritual awakening in 2018. I felt I came home to myself and I let go of everything, including my ego, and I started to think about life very differently.

After my awakening, I came to the decision to let go of my company because it no longer aligned with me – I’d been running it for years, it was fun, but a big part of me knew I needed to move on from it. I couldn’t carry on doing something I wasn’t passionate about because it was draining my energy.

After my awakening, I didn’t know what I wanted to focus on but I knew my fulfillment always came from creating signature programs that aligned with where I was in my life.

When I started to think about my zone of genius and what I was best at I realized it was healing and mindset. I’ve invested over $250,000 in my personal growth, and I wanted to share my knowledge and the best information that changed the game for me and my healing.

When you invest a lot in yourself there can be a lot of fluff to wade through but there’s also a lot of potent knowledge – there’s information that moves the needle when it comes to performance, belief systems, and transformation.

I knew what worked to make me a better man and a better leader.

I knew I had to build an amazing program – that’s when I designed the Super High Performance Formula.

It’s always been important to me that people take action in my programs. I want the people who invest in me to get the very best results so I implemented a level of accountability within the program – a locking system, so people are thrown out if they don’t take action.

When the first group went through the program, the locking system was an important element because it changed people’s behavior.

I realized I made the right decisionThe four part locking system (including a super lock) has become the signature element of the Super High Performance Formula and it’s getting amazing results.

Trusting your intuition is important; my intuition kept on saying it was what this industry needed. I didn’t want to just feed information for things that have worked for me because it didn’t mean people would do it.

Results are important to me.

It requires a time commitment, effort and energy. You also need courage to complete the Super High Performance Formula.

I’ve always focused on getting the best results I can. Refining results has given me new levels of confidence because of all the positive reviews I’ve received.

The turning point for me with my journey creating the Super High Performance Formula was about thinking about what I have done in my life, the skills I’ve accomplished, and everything I’ve achieved and learned. The sweet spot for me is doing what I love to do.

How To Change A Negative Pattern Using The Interruption Technique #EP47



Would you like to change something about yourself that isn’t supporting your highest potential? In this episode, I give you a quick and easy tool you can use with people you care about to help break through negative patterns and behaviors.

When you’re an entrepreneur or a leader in business, and you’re committed to being the best version of yourself to grow and scale your company, it’s important you change any negative thinking patterns you have.

Use this interruption technique to reprogram your mind. It’s simple – you can use it today and it has the potential to help you make some big changes to your life and business.  

Why I Used This Technique

I used to have trouble connecting with other people – I wanted to connect with and meet more people because I wanted to build deeper friendships, but I would create excuses for myself.

My self- sabotage was in the form of making two excuses – I would say I was too tired and too busy.

As my self-awareness grew I started to notice the pattern I was repeating; I would be invited to meet new people who I wanted to connect with, but by making excuses I was self-sabotaging and I was keeping myself disconnected.

Get Honest And Ask For Help

Once I noticed my pattern I decided to change it. That meant I had to be vulnerable, and have a conscious conversation with someone I trusted so I could share my self-sabotaging habits.

You may need to get over mental hurdles to open up and speak openly with someone you trust. I chose to speak to my housemate.

The person you confide in needs to know why you’re asking for help and why it’s important to you.

They need to know your motivation – they also need to be someone you know will be around to intercept you!

I had a conversation about my patterns, why I was doing them, and why I wanted to change them. Explain why your patterns are not serving you, how you’re self-sabotaging, and what your outcome is.

What’s Your Outcome?

My outcome was to get out of my comfort zone, be around lots of new people, and to build new connections and friendships.

You’re asking the person you trust to interrupt you, to raise your awareness and create space for you to make a different decision. During the times when you have these habits, patterns take over and at the time you don’t always have the awareness to stop them.

You get caught up in the moment and let your desires take over.

Afterward, you feel regret – you look back, and emotionally beat yourself up, wishing you’d taken a different decision.  

Giving someone you trust permission to interrupt you stops you unconsciously self-sabotaging. They create the space for you to pause, enabling you to consciously decide the action you want to take.

You need to give the person you’ve confided in permission to break your pattern, but how they interrupt you is very important because it could act as a negative trigger. Be specific about the language you want to be used.

When you’re interrupted, it’s also good to be reminded of the benefits you will gain or of the consequences. Ask to be reminded of the potential outcome so you can pause (ideally for a minute) and consciously make your choice.

When you’re repeatedly interrupted, you become more conscious and you’re able to catch yourself. You take control of yourself and you’re able to make informed choices.

The turning point happens when you create your new behavior and establish a new positive habit so you’re able to make the right decisions for yourself and your business on your own.

The Leader With Integrity Meditation #EP46



Let’s be honest, from time to time we lie to ourselves and we lie to others. This mediation will help to ground you into leadership with integrity by setting a clear intention for the week. Lead powerfully by leading with integrity.

Take yourself to a place of peace, where you feel calm and relaxed. Slow down, allow yourself to be present, and connect with yourself at your deepest level.

As you meditate ask yourself how honest you are with yourself and those around you? Feel how your energy changes when you focus on what your levels of integrity really are.

Your levels of integrity seep through everything you do. Hold high standards for yourself and match your values with positive intentions to gain true respect for yourself and your business.

The Aftermath Of Ayahuasca & Plant Medicine On A Toxic Leader #EP45



About five years or so ago now I took a trip into the Amazon rainforest for my first ayahuasca ceremony. In this episode I wanted to share my journey with plant medicines and how it played into me becoming a better, more grounded, happier leader and my views on what others should do if they are interested in taking the plant medicine path.

I wasn’t the best version of myself when I was taking drugs, smoking, and drinking, but when I started my journey with self-development I committed to being the best version of myself.

Now I do whatever it takes – I make investments for myself, to work with people I align with, to do the best for myself and my business. When I feel something I align with I don’t hesitate; I invest in it, book it, get on a plane, or go to the event that I feel called to attend.

I don’t have much skepticism, I’m open to change and surrendering to what I’m called to do – taking fast action makes me a better leader in my business and lead me to experience plant medicine and ayahuasca ceremonies.

Feeling Safe

When I went on my first trip to Peru I went with the intention of killing the heaviness I was carrying within me.

I’d previously taken ecstasy, cocaine, and party drugs so I needed to feel safe taking plant medicines; I was on the path of recovery and I wanted to clean myself up.

I arrived at a location before the event and met with a dozen people. We were warned that on the previous trip they had been held at gunpoint along the river; I immediately wondered if I should turn around and head home, but I’d already traveled a long way and I wanted to see the trip through.

There was a lot of anticipation for what lay ahead.

During the evenings, the shaman lead the ceremony – everyone sat in a circle and each person was called to kneel and take the thick tea-like drink – it tasted horrible.

Raising Consciousness

We would experience each other releasing toxicity; the ceremony highlights parts of your life you want to ignore – the things you’ve done and things you’ve pushed away – helping you to see the changes you need to make. I saw a lot of things and I purged a lot.

The subconscious becomes conscious so you can choose to transform and make changes to your life.

You can expect to notice differences in yourself straight away when you’re on the journey of transformation and you go through intense, transformational experiences with coaching, attending events, or taking medicines.

Often, it isn’t until you get back into your normal life when changes about yourself hit you.

Losing My Addictions

When you’ve evolved because you’ve spiritually woken up, parts of you fall away. When I came back from Peru, I noticed I was able to go out and drink alcohol without the need to binge.

I don’t drink at all anymore, but at the time I was someone who needed to party; my first ayahuasca ceremony helped me to remove 80% of my addictions.

It raised my consciousness level and brought things to my awareness. I felt like a different person.

Addictions cause you to show up in your business and around people in a very toxic way and actions that aren’t aligned with who you are, make you unhappy with the person you became in those moments.

You beat yourself up for your mistakes.

I didn’t want that life. I didn’t want to hurt people and I didn’t want a life where I was continuously knocking myself down – I was feeling bad, and that was having a negative impact on my business and the people around me.

Be Honest With Yourself

It’s not easy to admit you’re an erratic, toxic person, but when you’re able to face that you can start to get help. You get called to the path of personal development; you hire a coach, you begin to meditate and become open to discovering holistic, natural remedies that are already in the environment to help heal you.

Feel your desire to change, take actions to move forward and find a person or organization you align with. You’re going to feel resistance, but you need to push through that resistance in order for you to change.

Be prepared for your life to change. Understand that your life could go in a completely different direction; you might not want to run your business or be in your relationship.

Things that were once aligned may go out of alignment so you have to be prepared that the things that you once thought were normal will become abnormal.

It’s an upgrade. It’s not a bad thing.

Time To Surrender

When you commit to grow you need to surrender – if you go into a plant ceremony or coaching program, you will wake up to the fact that you have no control whatsoever.

If you want to change, you have to allow yourself to surrender to the process – that’s a hard lesson for many people.

My path of transformation and change is to be a better man. My goal is to shortcut the process of success for people. I stripped away things I knew didn’t work to create something potent and that gets to the root of things quickly.

Are you willing to surrender, so that you can enter a new stage of your life? Can you awaken to the knowledge that you’re tapped into a bigger source of information that can guide you, instead of where your ego has been driving you?

Your transformation tipping point is a very important moment – sometimes things land at the right time and the right moment, you just have to be aware and notice.

I care about you and your evolution because I want you to be happy. I want you to be fulfilled. I want you to live a life of joy and inner peace. It’s not that you’re going to live a perfect life, but as you grow, you will be able to live more peacefully.

You can be happier, you can be more fulfilled and you deserve the best life.

5 Leadership Blindspots Teal Swan Helped Me To Discover in 5 Days #EP44



I recently attended an intimate event with Teal Swan that brought awareness to some important areas of my life that needed attention. This also plays a huge role in terms of leadership in my personal and professional life. In this episode, I cover the 5 different takeaways that may help you to become a better person and leader.

I just had one of the most awkward, but transformational weeks of my life – I chose to work with the spiritual teacher Teal Swan at an intimate event in Utah because I knew she would challenge me.

It was exactly what I needed to experience. Even though I want to evolve and grow I initially found it awkward – but then everything came together.

There were a number of things I didn’t want to admit, but by admitting my truth I can serve you.

Needs

I thought I knew myself well, but I wasn’t aware my biggest need was to feel wanted. I knew events from my childhood lead me to feel like this, but I wasn’t aware of how my need to feel wanted was a huge need of mine and how that had made such an impact on my life.

Have you ever stopped to think about what is your biggest need is?

Self-Sabotaging

When you’re interacting with people in personal development and transformation, as a coach or a mentor, you want to find things out so you can help them.

This comes with good intention, but it can also cause problems. If you treat all your relationships with people like you want to fix them you end up sabotaging your relationships.

I wasn’t aware that as I was trying to fix people I was pushing them away.

I had the unconscious need to feel wanted; my safety net was being a coach to everybody because I thought if I could help, save, or teach someone something, they would see me as a worthy person.

It was a huge issue for me to want to help and serve everyone I came into contact with – I’m going to continue to devote myself to serve my clients and help people, but I’m also going to live my life, be myself, and truly connect with people.

Self-Expression

I’m calm and confident in many different situations but I noticed how I suppress my emotions too.

I’ve evolved from someone who used to unconsciously react in personal relationships by throwing toys out of the pram to suppressing my anger and saying nothing.

I stopped expressing how I was really feeling because I didn’t want to upset the person I was with and I didn’t want to make them feel bad especially if they were going through a challenging time. By keeping my emotions to myself I wasn’t aware that I was suppressing feelings that I could have expressed in a healthy way. 

I learned the person I was showing on the outside wasn’t what I was experiencing within – I was disconnected, wearing a poker face that people couldn’t read.

I’m now able to match what I’m feeling with what I express on the outside. Instead of holding my feelings in, I want people to see my sadness, anger, or joy.

Are you positioning yourself in a certain way that pushes people away from you? If there’s a disconnection you need to start to express who you are and what you are feeling so people can experience the real you.

Asking What Someone Needs

Do you need to take ownership of your leadership? With leadership, partnerships, and especially in my intimate relationships, I felt the need to ask what someone needed so I could meet their expectations, instead of messing things up. 

Someone’s needs and desires are really important – asking a person what they need, are feeling or what they want are all appropriate questions unless you’re in a situation where the other person needs you to lead them.

I had a fear of rejection and of screwing things up.

When I asked what someone needed I felt it enabled me to meet their needs because I wanted to get everything right. I didn’t want to mess up because getting things wrong triggered past events – if I got something wrong I thought there would be rejection or consequences.

Now I’m aware I can take control, I can lead powerfully with love, and be okay with screwing things up sometimes.

Being Passive

I’m a great leader in my business, but I also see areas where I’ve lead in a passive manner.

When you run a business, you have to take action, but there will be areas you’re more passive in; you’ll easily take action in one area, but other things won’t come so easily so you naturally become passive with them.  

Think about the areas you need to take control of and grab the bull by the horns and lead to move things forward – maybe there’s an area of your marketing you struggle with, or there’s an employee you know needs direction from you, but you keep putting things off.

Lead from a place of authentic power, take ownership, and don’t focus on anything that might go wrong. Focus on winning, succeeding, and leading with power.

Self-awareness is the key to everything so it’s important to have things about yourself brought to your attention. Honesty from your friends, mentors, and coaches can be uncomfortable interactions that you may not want to face up to but your biggest shifts come from the things you find difficult.

If it was easy and it felt good, everyone would be evolving and growing a successful company. For you to get the growth you desire, you must go to the uncomfortable places within you.

You have to go deep. Sometimes you will want to bail, but when you stay to push through you will experience your transformation.
